Led by internationally renowned pianists and vocal coaches who teach at conservatories and higher education institutions around the world, the Musicalta Collaborative Piano Course is designed for pianists wishing to specialize in the art of instrumental and vocal accompaniment. There is no minimum level required and no entrance audition.
A true discipline in its own right, collaborative piano enables students to develop refined listening skills, great musical flexibility, and a strong command of ensemble playing. Pianists work with wind and string instrumentalists as well as singers, within an intensive and professional practice environment.
Piano students are fully integrated into the Academy’s activities: rehearsals, masterclasses, collaborative work with musicians, and participation in the artistic projects of the Musicalta Festival.
They are regularly called upon to accompany students from other classes, as well as to take part in concerts, auditions, and public performances.
This immersion at the heart of Musicalta’s musical life allows collaborative pianists to gain concrete professional experience, build a broad repertoire, and develop the essential qualities of the collaborative pianist: responsiveness, stylistic awareness, shared musical breathing, and artistic commitment at the highest level.
