A cellist, he also has extensive experience as a percussionist and chamber musician.
He holds a State Diploma, a Bachelor’s Degree in Musicology and a National Higher Diploma in Professional Music from the PESM Bourgogne.
Wishing to further his knowledge, he trained at European level and obtained a Specialised Master’s Degree in cello at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels and a Master’s Degree in Education at the IMEP in Namur.
Pierre performs regularly in various ensembles with renowned artists, demonstrating his musical eclecticism: Fazil Say, Goran Bregovic, Dhafer Youssef, Levon Minassian, Quintette de Tango.
He performs regularly with the string trio ‘ALPHEA’, which he founded.
This trio has already recorded two albums: Matriochkas (based on Russian music) and the Goldberg Variations (transcription by the ALPHEA Trio) on the Klarthe label.
He has an international career and performs in numerous theatres and concert halls (Auditorium de Dijon, Maison de la Radio Flagey Brussels, Palais des Beaux-Arts Brussels and Charleroi, Forest National Brussels, Théâtre Royal in Mons, Zénith in St Etienne, Bogusław X Hall in Szczecin, Palais Royal in Fez, Alhambra in Geneva, Château du Clos Vougeot, etc.).
Pierre divides his time between teaching and a rich artistic life.
He currently holds the position of Professor of Cello at the CRR in Marseille.
