Since 2021 Eduard Sonderegger has been teaching violin at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart.
He was also teaching at the University of Music and Theatre Munich and playing as concertmaster of Ulm Philharmonic Orchestra (2013-2023). Alongside these roles, he is a member of many ensembles and is actively involved with New Music and historically informed performance practice.

As a soloist, Eduard Sonderegger has performed in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Russia, Italy, Greece, Finland, and France. He has also played with the State Philharmonic of Rhineland Palatinate, Ulm Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble Arsys Bourgogne (Vézelay, France) and Sinfonietta Lentua Orchestra (Kuhmo, Finland). His repertoire includes violin concertos by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Sibelius, Glazunov, Prokofiev, Hartmann and many more.

A long-standing musical partnership unites Eduard with his brother Alexander Sonderegger (piano) as part of the Sonderegger Duo. Together they have performed in Gasteig München and Konzerthaus Berlin. In 2019 the Sonderegger Duo released its debut CD featuring works by Brahms, Szymanowski, and Enesco.
