“Ave verum Corpus” for choir and orchestra
If the particularity of Musicalta is to simultaneously propose a festival and an international academy, it is a further pride to present on stage the choir and the Orchestra of the Festival Academy with a former student as soloist.
A remarkable pianist, Pierre-Emmanuel Faye will interpret the “Wedding Cake” Concerto by Camille Saint-Saëns composed as a gift for the wedding of a pianist friend and the Concerto by Geörg Anton Benda, a Czech composer from a family of composers who wrote this concerto less known by the public and originally written for the harpsichord.
These two concertos will give a very fresh and graceful tone to this closing concert led by the radiant Maude Georges, appreciated for her qualities as a conductor.
