First of all, we would like to thank the public, partners, musicians and friends, who’s been supporting Musicalta during the last two decades.
It is thank to our combined effort that 22 years ago this project became reality and has been able to flourish within Rouffach’s beautiful cultural and natural heritage.
We are going on a dreamlike journey for the 22nd season. The dawn of a dream : time of promesses and liberty, “where music becomes the sense that inspires emotion”.
Littered with concerts given by international musicians and their virtuosity, this season leads us toward a widened horizon. Alongside the works of the great repertoire will be highlighted composers such as Gérard Scronx – born in Belgium, in 1594 – or Emil Sjören – born in Sweden, in 1853. But also composer Hina Sakamoto; her work is to be presented as a french creation in Rouffach Church on August 1st, and perfectly depicts her time; our time.
Chamber music has the place of honor this summer, and the Festival gives it prominence with two Ballades, from brass to strings.
A dream that comes to an end on August 4th with a selection of works for horn, trumpet, trombone and piano. A final concert, an echo that will carry us toward the next season in 2018.
May this festival be once again the one of our shared promesses and waking dreams.
