Four-hands piano Concerto in B flat major
Composed in F sharp minor, an unexpected choice in the writing of a 18th century symphony, Joseph Haydn’s Symphony No. 45 opens the 25th season with a unique tone.
It’s the same heritage that links Josef Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Leopold Kozeluch, an accomplished and inventive composer who remained in the shadows after his disappearance. The concerto for piano with 4 hands illustrates here the considerable role of his work for keyboard which contributed to develop the pianoforte after the harpsichord.
It is with the brilliant Kazakh violinist Aiman Mussakhajakeva and the 4-hand accomplice duo Schiavo-Marchegiani from Italy that we will celebrate this Viennese heritage together with the famous Kazakhstan State Orchestra.
