Soprano

Born in Kiel, Germany, Julia Rempe got a diploma as an opera singer at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. She continued her studies by visiting master classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Inge Borkh and Klesie Kelly-Moog and Margreet Honig.

Julia is winner of several prizes and awards and joined the Young Artists Program of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich.
From 2001 to 2003 she was a regular member of the Bavarian State Opera.

Since then she has been a guest at major opera houses and festivals including the Wiener Staatsoper, Staatsoper Berlin, Zurich Opera house, Semper Oper Dresden, Komische Oper Berlin, Staatsoper Hannover, Cape Town Opera, Schleswig-Holstein Festival, the Chiemgau Music Festival, the festival Stars of the white nights in St Petersburg. Her roles hereby include Konstanze and Blonde in Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Oscar in Un ballo in maschera, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Rosina in Il Barbiere di Siviglia.
Concert performances include the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Münchner Rundfunkorchester, the Gürzenich Orchester Köln, the Berliner Staatskapelle and the Mariinsky Orchestra.

Julia is a sought-after artist for concerts in the field of oratorio, contemporary music and kunstlied and she has also been on numerous radio recordings with WDR, NDR, BR and ORF.

Since 2016 Julia teaches a singing class at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
Besides that she is very experienced and dedicated to teaching young singers and preparing them for their singing studies at university.

She has given masterclasses at the Sawallisch Academy at Grassau and at the Festival „Kharkiv Assemblies“. Furthermore Julia has been a jury member of the competition „Jugend musiziert“ and at the First Open Fest-Contest of Music Art at Kharkiv /Ukraine.
