Maria Pia Tricoli
Sonata Arpeggione in A minor D. 821
Intermezzo for viola and piano
Diapositive di memoria for viola and piano
Sonata for viola and piano in F minor opus 120 No.1
Franz Schubert composed the Arpeggione Sonata in A minor at the end of his life. This major work originally written for arpeggione or 6-string love guitar and piano can be interpreted by a viola, violin or cello, the arpeggione having now disappeared.
Applauded on the international scene, the Duo Adorno-Pia Tricoli will interpret a colorful program which will end in the intimacy of the Brahms sonata in F minor written for clarinet before being transcribed by the composer for the viola whose tessiture is perfectly suited to the work.
