After her first awards in the Paris conservatory (piano in the Germaine Mounier\u2019s class and chamber music in the Genevi\u00e8ve Joy-Dutilleux\u2019s class), she took a development class with the viola player Christophe Desjardins. They became laureates of the Trapani contest.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1986, her sister Marie joined her in Alain Plan\u00e8s\u2019 class and together, they have started to go to international contests, to give concerts, to make TV and radio shows. They integrated Yehudi Menuhin\u2019s et Natexis foundations and also took the class of Marie-Fran\u00e7oise Bucquet, Hans Kamerling and Bruno Rigutto. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The duo producted itself on known international stages (Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Th\u00e9\u00e2tre de la Ville, Mus\u00e9e d\u2019Orsay, Salle Gaveau). H\u00e9l\u00e8ne and Marie were the guests of the Sevilla Universal Exhibition, Cannes Festival, \u201cJeunesses musicales du Canada\u201d, accompanied the singer Jean Guidoni in his two-piano show and played Martial Solal for the musician Night. They have accompanied many orchestras and have recorded four CDs (Lyrinx and Salabert) which were very noticed by critics.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Aaron Copland short film untitled \u201cDanzon Cubano\u201d and realized by the producer Patrick Vialle has filmed the two pianists for the Mezzo Channel.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Desmoulin played with several artists such as Marc Coppey, Nicholas Angelich, the Elys\u00e9e Quartet and Igor Kiritchenko during concerts in tribute to her sister Marie. After a necessary period of reflection, she decided to continue her chamber music carreer.  <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">She has played every known classics but also composers of her generation such as Nicolas Bacri, who dedicated his \u00ab Concerto pour deux pianos et orchestre \u00e0 cordes \u00bb to the Desmoulin sisters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Desmoulin participated to the \u201cRencontres Liszt\u201d (2005,2008) organized by Nicolas Dufetel. In 2013, she played in duo marimba-piano with the percussionist Nicolas Cousin, member of the SR9 Trio.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Since 2015, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Desmoulin has been pianist in the Minium 21 ensemble which is involved in the diffusion of the music today and the work with the contemporary composers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Desmoulin is a professor at the CRR d&#8217;Angers from 1986 to 2024. <br \/> <\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Desmoulin started the piano under the direction of Lucette Descaves.
