\"\"<\/a><\/span>Pinchas Adt is among the most exciting musicians of his generation. Born into a family of musicians, he began playing the violin at the age of five and studied in Munich with Ingolf Turban. He completed his studies with highest distinction in the soloist programme under Albrecht-Laurent Breuninger in Karlsruhe. Further artistic guidance came from G\u00fcnter Pichler at the Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica Reina Sof\u00eda in Madrid, Gerhard Schulz in Stuttgart, Hariolf Schlichtig in Munich, and the Artemis Quartet at the Berlin University of the Arts. <\/span><\/p>\n

As a co-founder of the Goldmund Quartet, he performs worldwide on all five continents in the most important concert halls, including the Suntory Hall (Tokyo), the Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and the Musikverein (Vienna). Their recordings have received critical acclaim from major international publications, and their performances are regularly broadcast by European radio stations. <\/span><\/p>\n

The quartet has won numerous prestigious prizes, including the International Schoenfeld String Competition, the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition and the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, and was awarded the Music Prize of the J\u00fcrgen Ponto Foundation. The ensemble performs on the \u201cPaganini Quartet\u201d Stradivari instruments, generously loaned by the Nippon Foundation.

As a soloist, Pinchas has performed with various orchestras, including the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra. He is also active as a curator and co-founder of the Goldmund Festival. Alongside his performing career, he is active as a pedagogue: he taught violin at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, currently serves as Acting Professor of Violin and Chamber Music at the University of Music Karlsruhe, and gives masterclasses in Europe, Japan and the United States. <\/span><\/p>\n
