After holding positions as first violinist with the W\u00fcrttemberg Chamber Orchestra in Heilbronn and first violinist with the Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, he became a member of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1997.<\/p>\n<p> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Together with his colleagues Adrian Oetiker and David Riniker, he founded the Feininger Trio in 2007. The trio performs at festivals and concert series such as the Prague Spring, Valencia, the Baden-Baden Festival, the Heidelberg Spring and the Berlin Philharmonic. His CD recordings have been released on the Avi Music Cologne label and, since 2022, on Deutsche Grammophon. Greek composer Konstantia Gourzi wrote the piano trio \u2018Apollon\u2019 for the ensemble, which premiered at the Eigenzeit Festival in Duisburg.   <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A passionate chamber musician, he has also performed with Guy Braunstein, Leonidas Kavakos, Kolja Blacher, Yuja Wang, Julia Fischer, Claudio Bohorquez, Sunwook Kim, Bishara Harouni, \u00d6zg\u00fcr Aydan, Emmanuel Pahud, Albrecht Mayer, among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a member of the Scharoun Ensemble, he has devoted himself intensively to contemporary music and has collaborated with Pierre Boulez, Thomas Ad\u00e8s, J\u00f6rg Widmann, Mathias Pintscher, among others. Thomas Ad\u00e8s and J\u00f6rg Widmann have also been his chamber music partners in projects at Carnegie Hall (Zankel Hall) in New York, the Barbican Centre in London, the Salzburg Festival and the Zermatt Festival.<br \/>A significant part of his musical activities is devoted to historical performance practice. A long-standing member of the Berliner Barock Solisten, he has played with Rainer Kussmaul, Gottfried von der Goltz, Raphael Alpermann, Kristin von der Goltz, Bernhard Forck and has received important inspiration from Reinhard Goebel.<br \/>He has always been keen to pass on his experience. He has taught courses at the Zermatt Festival from 2007 to 2014 and at Toho University in Toyama (Japan) from 2012 to 2016, among others. Since 2016, he has been teaching every July in Arosa as part of the course weeks, and he has also been invited to give a course at the Barenboim Said Academy in Berlin in 2024. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A significant part of his musical activities is devoted to historical performance practice.
