\"\"<\/a><\/span>Eva-Christina Schoenweiss has been the prinicipal second violinist of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (DSO) since 1997. She received highest honors for her artist\u2019s and master\u2019s degrees in Vienna, where she studied with Gerhart Hetzel (concertmaster of the Vienna Philharmonic), as well as in the USA at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, where she studied with Dorothy DeLay and Kurt Sassmannshaus. Further important impulses came from Igor Ozim and Walter Forchert as well as the LaSalle and Tokyo String Quartets. She was also shaped by eleven years at the Aspen Music Festival \u2013 first as a student, then as soloist, concertmaster and faculty member. She is in demand internationally as a chamber musician and soloist. Two projects of the DSO are especially close to her heart \u2013 the orchestra academy for apprentices and the chamber music project with schools in Berlin. <\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Eva-Christina Schoenweiss has been a violin professor at the renowned Hanns Eisler Academy of Music since 2000.<\/span><\/p>\n

In conjunction with this work, she offers courses and concerts both domestically and internationally. Her musical career is enhanced with chamber music concerts in various formations, especially in a duo with harp (CD-Po\u00e9sie) and as first violinist of the Niccol\u00f3 String Quartet. <\/span><\/p>\n
