Winner of the \u201cKalichstein-Laredo-Robinson\u201d-Award, the trio performed in South Korea and Taiwan in 2017. Numerous radio recordings and CD productions give evidence of the ensemble\u2019s exceptional quality.  <\/p>\n<p>He studied violin with Stephan Picard and chamber music with Eberhard Feltz at the \u201cHanns Eisler\u201d Hochschule in Berlin.<\/p>\n<p>After teaching in Berlin and Stuttgart, he became one of the youngest full-time professors in Germany when in 2010 he was appointed at Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Theater Rostock.<br \/>Many of his students are now prize winners and hold prominent positions in renowned German orchestras.<br \/>Stefan Hempel is frequent guest concert master at W\u00fcrttembergisches Kammerorchester Heilbronn, Kammerakademie Neuss, Neues Mendelssohn Kammerorchester Leipzig, Ensemble Ruhr and as such often leads, without conductor, using the conduct &amp; play method.
