This assertive rock style, combined with the obvious symbiosis of the 4 instrumentalists, results in a unique sound and a remarkable musical discourse.<\/span><\/p>\n

Yako? They fell in love with an Australian shepherd with an endearing, fiery temperament and a name taken from Japanese mythology. They took the name Yako. <\/span><\/p>\n

Graduates of the CNSMD in Lyon and the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Kunst in Munich, the quartet trained with Yovan Markovitch and Luc Marie Aguerra before joining the class of Christoph Poppen and Hariolf Schlichtig in Germany.<\/span><\/p>\n

One thing led to another. The Quartet was singled out at the FNAPEC competition in Paris in 2016, and that same year became a resident of the ProQuartet European Chamber Music Centre. <\/span><\/p>\n

It has perfected its skills by taking part in numerous master classes, including those at the Festival d’Aix en Provence and the Acad\u00e9mie de Villecroze, where it benefits from the advice of its most eminent elders: Berg, Artemis, Hagen, Belcea, Kronos, Danel and Debussy. The Yako Quartet was also privileged to benefit from the ear of Mathieu Herzog, who is still loyal to them today. After winning 3rd prize at the Orlando International Chamber Music Competition in the Netherlands in 2017, the Yako Quartet made its debut in 2018 at the Louvre Museum Auditorium. Regular guests of France musique (Chambre Classique, Classic Club, G\u00e9n\u00e9rations France Musique, \u2018Ind\u00e9tr\u00f4nable Lod\u00e9on\u2019 evening…), the Yako Quartet also performs in numerous festivals in Europe (Germany, Belgium, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland) but also in Chad at the invitation of the French Institute in N’Djamena. <\/span><\/p>\n
