<\/a>Zuzanna Sosnowska is one of the most outstanding Polish cellists of her generation, an active soloist, chamber musician and pedagogue. She is the winner (ex aequo first prize) of the 10th W. Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Warsaw and has won more than 20 prizes at international competitions on 3 continents. She has performed as a soloist, in the Sosnowska- Garc\u00edas Duo and as a member of the Tansman Trio in Poland, Germany,Switzerland, Austria, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Croatia, Italy, Turkey and Namibia.<\/span><\/p>\n
As a soloist she has performed with leading Polish and foreign orchestras such as the National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw, the Orquestra Cambra de Mallorca, the Orchestra Nazionale della RAI in Turin, Metamorphosen Berlin, Chamber Orchestra of Istanbul and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of L\u00fcbeck. She has performed at the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn, the Royal Castle in Warsaw and the Auditorio Nacional in Madrid. Her concerts have been broadcast by Polish Radio Programme 2, Norddeutscher Rundfunk, Radio Nacional Espa\u00f1a, Idagio and Allegro HD Television. Zuzanna graduated with distinction from the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik in Weimar in the class of Prof. Wolfgang Emmanuel Schmidt and from the Escuela Superior de M\u00fasica Reina Sofia in Madrid with Prof. Jens Peter Maintz and Fernando Arias as well as from the Konzertexamen studies at the Musikhochschule L\u00fcbeck with Prof. Troels Svane. She also received musical inspiration from master classes with David Geringas, Frans Helmerson, Torleif Thedeen, Ivan Monighetti, Philippe Muller and many others. <\/span><\/p>\n She was awarded a special prize by the Queen of Spain in 2019 and 2020 and has received scholarships from the Y. Menuhin Foundation, the Villa-Musica programme and the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Zuzanna Sosnowska combines performing with her passion for teaching – since 2022 she has been a lecturer at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz K\u00f6ln in Germany and (from 2025) at the Augsburg Univeristy and a guest professor at the Conservatorio Superior de Musica Illes Balears in Palma de Mallorca, giving masterclasses across Poland, Germany, Spain and Namibia. <\/span><\/p>\n
