\"\"<\/a>Timon Landen, born in 1993, started playing the piano at the age of eleven, becoming a student of Josef Scherrer (HfMT Cologne) four years later. As a teenager he was awarded numerous prices in competitions on federal and national level as well as scholarships by different foundations. <\/span><\/p>\n

His artistic development was deepened in masterclasses with Manfred Aust, Tamara Stefanovich, Pascal Devoyon, Bernd Glemser and Rena Shereshevskaya. Concerts as a soloist with orchestra and as a chamber musician offered him opportunities to play in great concert halls such as the Philharmonie Essen, the Jahrhunderthalle Bochum and the Historische Stadthalle Wuppertal. <\/span><\/p>\n

Together with the flutist Leonardo Pedroza they founded the Ensemble Alafia, playing concerts in Germany and other European countries. His chamber music studies were accompanied by Anthony Spiri in Cologne. <\/span><\/p>\n

During his masters degree he dedicated himself to the topic of synesthesia, with special regard to the music by the composers Alexander Skrjabin and Olivier Messiaen. Educational aspects are always of particular interest in his solo recitals, in which he also provides speeches about the music and their composers that he plays, most recently playing the whole Iberia Suite by Isaac Alb\u00e9niz. <\/span><\/p>\n

Beside his work as a performative musician, Timon Landen discovered a passion for teaching early in his career. Being still a bachelors student he started instructing at a music school in steady employment, where his students won first prizes in competitions on national level in Germany. <\/span><\/p>\n

After two different university teaching positions, Timon Landen currently teaches at the HfMT – Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz \u00e0 Cologne – Allemagne.<\/span><\/p>\n
