\"\"<\/a>German cellist Jeanette Gier is manager and founding member of the Eldering Ensemble and performs regularly at international festivals in Germany, Switzerland and Australia with renowned artists Hariolf Schlichtig, Matthias Bucholz, Tomoko Akasaka, Andra Darzins and Gabor Meszaros. The Eldering Ensemble has served as \u2018ensemble-in-residence\u2019 at the Victorian College of the Arts, University of Melbourne and at the Conservatorium of Music in Hobart, Australia and have been invited to perform at chamber music festivals in Australia and to broadcast live with 3MBS, ABC Classic Radio and WDR3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jeanette studied violoncello and chamber music with Professors Johannes Goritzki, Claus Kanngiesser, Hariolf Schlichtig, Hatto Beyerle and Eckard Heiligers\/Jean Paul Trio and received her Diplomas with \u2018summa cum laude\u2019. Jeanette taught at the Robert-Schumann-Musikhochschule in Duesseldorf and held the position of Assistant Solo Cellist with the widely celebrated German Chamber Academy of Neuss. With Chamber Orchestra Basel she gained experience in historical performance practice under conductors Christopher Hogwood, Giovanni Antonini and Paul McCreesh. Her fine sense of ensemble, distinctive clarity of sound and musical spontaneity form the rudiments of a persuasive and encompassing classical approach to musical interpretation. Radio broadcasts and live CD performances include those for the Genuin Classics Label, 3MBS Australia, ABC Classic FM Australia, WDR 3, the German Chamber Academy of Neuss and the Eldering Ensemble.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2018 Jeanette Gier holds a teaching position at the Hochschule f\u00fcr Musik und Tanz in Cologne and became Artistic Director of Key to Culture in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n
