With her excellent touch and effortless technique, she creates with great intensity&#8230;&#8221; (Achimer Kurier)<\/p>\n<p>Julia Golkhovaya was born in St. Petersburg, Russia.<\/p>\n<p>She received her first piano and composition lessons at the age of six. At the age of ten, she made her debut with the D major piano concerto by J. Haydn. In 1999, Julia Golkhovaya graduated from the special music school for gifted children at the St. Petersburg Conservatory.<\/p>\n<p>From 2000 to 2007, Julia Golkhovaya studied with Prof Anatol Ugorski at the Detmold University of Music, where she graduated with a concert exam. She gained further musical inspiration in masterclasses by Homero Francesch, Rudolf Kehrer, Amadeus Webersinke, and Andras Schiff.<\/p>\n<p>Julia Golkhovaya has been honored several times both as a chamber musician and a soloist by the chamber music foundation &#8220;Villa Musica&#8221;, European Chamber Music Competition Karlsruhe, Chopin Society Germany, German Music Competition, and the Federal Selection of Concerts by Young Artists, which led to extensive concert tours.<\/p>\n<p>She has performed as a chamber musician at venues including the St Petersburg Philharmony, the Beethovenhalle Bonn, and the Essen Philharmony. She performs with several well-known musicians and is a regular guest at various festivals. She has made solo and chamber music recordings for Deutschlandradio Kultur, WDR, and SWR.<\/p>\n<p>After teaching at the Detmold University of Music, Julia Golkhovaya has been a permanent member of the Robert Schumann Hochschule in D\u00fcsseldorf as a lecturer in piano and accompaniment since 2009.<\/p>\n<p>From the winter semester 2022\/23, the pianist took up a full-time piano position at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany.<\/p>\n<p>In spring 2022, the CD with solo works by Chopin and Ravel was released by the Motette Psallite label.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][\/et_pb_section]<\/p>\n<span class=\"et_bloom_bottom_trigger\"><\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;&#8230;She plays sensitively, with marvelous expression, a slender and expressive tone and thinks her way into the music.
