 Pierre-Michel Vigneau

First solo harp at the Strasbourg Philarmonic Orchestra and teacher at the Strasbourg "CNR" (conservatoire de région) today, Pierre-Michel Vigneau was considered very young as a child prodigy by his professors.

At the age of seven, he started his harp studies with a harp which was lent to him by the famous Lily Laskine. Aged only 13, he was accepted at the "CNSM" and also studied at the same time percussions. He won the first prize at the age of 15. The next year, he was awarded the chamber music first prize and took part in numerous TV and radio shows.

He was invited as a solist by many orchestras, was a finalist at the competitions of Paris, Gargilesse, Jerusalem, Rome and won the gold medal at the Bordeaux festivaL.

He played in music chamber recitals in France and abroad: during the Langeais International Days (Journées Internationales de Langeais), at the festivals of Saint-Galmier, Sceaux, Albi, Versailles, Bordeaux, Brussels, Liege, Stockholm, Helsinki, Copenhagen, Sarajevo, Maastricht and Zurich, during the Lucerne International Music Weeks, during the Arles Harp International Days.

Regularly, he is invited to be a jury member for national and international, harp and chamber music examinations. He is also courted to lead master classes.

He recorded for the three TV chains and regularly took part to radio shows broadcasted on France Musique and France Culture.

Pierre-Michel Vigneau is the solist of the Radio France's Orchestra and of the Cziffra Foundation.
