Vladimir Sverdlov
Vladimir Sverdlov was born in 1976 in a muscovite family with solid musical traditions. His first piano teacher was his mother Elena Ashkenazy, followed by Vasilisa Tuticshkina and Ida Leschinskaia. He also took composition courses with V. Fsenko. At the age of 15 he received his first Prize at the Moscow Piano Competition. On that same year, he played with Hessischer Rundfunk Orchester directed by Dimitri Kitaenko. At 16 years old, he performed in recitals in France, Russia, Switzerland and Germany. While he was studying with Vladimir Krainev and Nikita Magaloff, he obtained the Grand Prize at the International Piano Competition of Citta Senigallia in 1993. He continued his training at the Musikhochschule of Hanover with Arie Vardi, In may 99, he was a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth of Belgium International Music Competition. His ranking was unexpectedly deceiving, therefore he didn't salute the jury members, only the public that was in a standing ovation for him, the incident was reported all over the press. In June 2006, he received the single price offered by the Monte Carlo Piano Masters Competition, the Prince Rainer III Prize, a competition reserved only to international contests' finalists Vladimir Sverdlov performs in the world's most prestigious event places, such as the Moscow Conservatory, in Tel Aviv with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Israel, at the Suntory Hall in Japan, at the “Beaux-Arts” Palace in Brussels, at the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam...He also performs in Paris « Salle Gaveau », Saint-Petersbourg, Moscou, Shanghai and in Monaco at The Prince Palace. He also played under the direction of Mikhail Pletnev, Gianluigi Gelmetti, with the cellist Mischa Maisky… Since 2008, Vladimir Sverdlov is not only a pianist : he composes and plays his own creations, he also started a more poetic education, he takes drama classes in Moscow Vladimir Sverdlov is a true soloist, that knows how to impose his interpretation choices. He's a complete artist that communicates his musical vision with a real commitment. |
