Antoine Sobczak
Antoine Sobczak was born in 1982 and graded from the Strasbourg CNR - National Conservatory (in Richard Bianco and Stephen Werner double bass classes and Denis Dercourt music chamber classes) and also from the Paris CNSMD (Jean- Paul Celea classes). He played with the Youth French Orchestra from 2001 to 2004 (with E. Krivine and J. Lopez Cobos as conductors) and with the European Union Youth Orchestra in 2003 (conducted by V. Ashkenazy and B. Haitink) and then, in 2005, he became menber of the Paris Orchestra. Moreover, he is also a member of Strasbourg chamber music Ensemble (piano quintet) and collaborates with various ensemble from Paris such as TM , Fa7, « la compagnie les Brigands » or Carpe Diem. As a chamber music player, Antoine Sobczak has been taking part in several renowned festivals such as Musica in Strasbourg, « Les Folles Journées de Nantes », Deauville Easter Festival, Giverny Chamber Music in Normandy... He plays on a 2005 Charton double bass with a 1921 Vigneron bow. |
