Emmanuelle Ophèle
Born in 1967, Emmanuelle Ophèle-Gaubert started
her musical studies at Angoulême Conservatory (Charente) with Jean-Pierre
Chambon. At 13 years old she studied with Patrick Gallois
and Ida Ribera, and then with Michel Debost at the Paris CNSMD - Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique , where she obtained a First Prize of flute. In 1987, Emmanuelle Ophèle enters at the «
Ensemble Intercontemporain ». Attentive to the repertory development in the
expressiveness ways that new technology offers, she takes part in many
creations in France and abroad, working with the most moderns contemporary
composers, « La Partition du ciel et de l'enfer » for flute Midi and piano Midi
by Philippe Manoury, « Congruences » for flute Midi, oboe and ensemble by
Michael Jarrell, « Explosante fixe » for flute Midi, two flutes and
instrumental ensemble by Pierre Boulez recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, «
Abysses » for solo flute and ensemble by Helena Tulve, an estonian composer.
She also records « Le Marteau sans Maître » under the conducting of Pierre
Boulez. She plays as a soloist and as a part of ensemble
in the most prestigious halls such as Carnegie Hall, Berlin Philharmonic Hall,
Cologne Philharmonic Hall, Milan Scala ,Sydney Opera, Amsterdam Concertgebouw,
Lucern KKL ... In 2005, she founds the Antara Trio with Ghislaine
Petit Volta (harp) and Odile Auboin (viola). She actually teaches at the Montreuil sous Bois
Conservatory. Her opening to a wide repertory, from baroque to
contemporary works, is the major element in her pedagogy. Emmanuelle Ophèle is regularly invited to teach in
many conservatories and academies such as Musicalta, Lucern, Aix en
Provence. |
