Myriam Lafargue
Myriam Lafargue is born in the southwest of France. Musician since the age of 8, she discovers and perfects the chromatic accordion with Jacques Mornet. Her virtuosity and her talent allowed her to obtain numerous trophies and international rewards which drove her through Europe and Japan. Indeed, Paul Mauriat invites her to play with his orchestra for a tour in Japan. On the request of Michel Legrand, who composed one title for her, she performed on the stage of the “Petit Journal Montparnasse” and accompanies in trio the famous baritone José van Dam at the Paris Opéra Comique. In December, 2003, she accompanies the American singer Ben Harper at Paris Bercy Palais Omnisport. Myriam Lafargue is a member of the group "The colors of invention", with Gilles Apap - violin, Ludovit Kovac - cymbalum and Philippe Noharet - double bass. She performs with this group in United States (California, Alaska, Oregon, Washington), in Canada, in Japan (Tokyo festival) in Germany (Ludwigsburg, Dresden, Würzburg, Passau...), in Sweden, in Australia, and in France at Paris Festival, Mozart Festival in Lille, Lao Festival... Myriam Lafargue obtained prices in numerous International competitions such as Price Médard Ferrero, 1st Price at Klingenthal international competition (Germany) and the accordion World Trophie in Italy.
