Isabelle Eschenbrenner has got a musicology bachelor of arts and she won unanimously the first virtuosity prize with jury's congratulation in J.Bise's class at the conservatoire of Lausanne.

Then she entered in the "l'Atelier d'interprétation Vocale et Dramatique de l'Opéra" of Lyon (conducting by E. Tappy).

She has been hired by the Opera of Lyon and has sung conducting by J.E. Gardiner, M.Arena, K. Nagano, P. Ecôtvös, B. Campanella.

Isabelle Eschenbrenner has worked with directors such as Bob Wilson, M.Leiser, P.Caurier, F. Dunlop, Sortilège of M.Ravel (concert tour in France and abroad, production of a film, which was prized by a gold FIPA in Cannes in 1994.)

She has also taken part in several concerts conducting by P.Bender (14th symphony of Chostakovitch), B. Conti (Stabat Mater of F. Poulenc), M.Foster (Cartnina Burana of K. Orff), J.E. Gardiner (Iphigénie en Aulide), T. Guschlbauer (Bachianas Brasileiras of H. Villa -Lobos), J.Mercier and G. Ferro (l'enfant et les sortilèges de M.Ravel), B. Tétu (Stabat Mater of Dvorak).

She regurlarly sings Mozart pieces (Requiem, Messes, airs de concert...), Haendel (Messie), Haydn (La Création), Bach (cantates, Passion according to St Jean).

She likes singing and the art of song: French art of song show directing by A.Formier, "Récital carte blanche" at the Aix en Provence festival, Schubert and Spohr program with clarinet.

Isabelle Eschenbrenner has played several contemporary music pieces from J.Harvey, R. Pascal, A. Webern.

She has been teaching in the Opera of Lyon ( directing by A.Durel). She was M.Honig's assistant for 4 years at the CNSM of Lyon (directing by G.Amy) and she is now M.C. Vallin's assitant.
