Paolo Cuccaro
Paolo Cuccaro started to play the piano at the age
of six. Has studied with V. Pellegrini, G. Francavilla, A. Delle Vigne, P.
Camicia and for chamber music with Trio di Trieste. In 1996 he received his
diploma with full marks and distinction at the “G. Donizetti” Conservatory of
Bergamo. At the same time he went on to perfect his studies at the “Ducal Music
Accademy” in Genova and at the “Mozarteum” of Salzburg. He soon made a name for himself in numerous
national and international competition, winning recently (2004) the First Prize
at the International Piano Competition “Sergio Fiorentino” . In 2002 has gained the glamorous prize “N. Rota”
as the best chamber music pianist. He has given concerts in various musical
festivals: Salzburg (Leopold Mozart’s Saal and Wiener Saal), Roma (Italy’s Bank
Auditorium and “Baldini” Hall), Taranto (Orpheus Theatre and Palace of the
Culture), Genova (Doge’s Palace), Trieste (“Revoltella” Museum Concert Hall),
Milano (“Puccini” Hall and Theatre of St. Lorenz at the Column), Ibiza (“Sant
Carles” Auditorium), Londra (Church of St. Martin in the Fields) as well as
International Piano Festival of the town of Spoleto, Paestum, Pescara,
Avezzano, Firenze, Venezia, Napoli, Ischia, Capri, Palermo, Martina Franca) He collaborated with musicians of international
renown, such as P. Vernikov, I. Grubert, V. Mariozzi, F. M. Ormezovsky, P.
Amoyal, L. Di Fino, G. Grassi, L. Gasparini, M. Lomartire, P. Romano. He has collaborated with the Magna Grecia Symphony
Orchestra, the London Musical Arts Orchestra, Bacau Philarmonic Orchestra, Kiev
Symphony Orchestra and other. Since 2002 he is professor of piano at the
“G.Paisiello” Conservatory in Taranto. |
