Professional biography of Guy Comentale
Guy Comentale

Guy Comentale won the First violin and chamber music prizes at Paris CNSMDP - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - in 1984.

Then he perfected abroad with Siegfried Palm, Paul Badura-Skoda, György Sebok and Henryk Szeryng.

Attracted by chamber music, Guy Comentale plays with great musicians such as Youri Boukoff, Jean-François Heisser, Mstislav Rostropovitch, Patrice Fontanarosa, Georges Pludermacher, Jean-Bernard Pommier and Alain Meunier. He also created many contemporary works.

In 1986, Guy Comentale became First Solo violin of Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra.

In 1992, Guy Comentale won the prize of the New record Academy for his recording of Brahms and Ligetti trios. He also recorded the string Trio from composer Michèle Reverdy with Laurent Verney and Dominique de Williencourt and the 23rd Viotti violin concerto with the French Savoie Orchestra. Since 1999, Guy Comentale has been the director of works collection for Violin (Ed. Billaudot).

Guy Comentale is Professor at Rueil-Malmaison CRR - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional - and at Meudon CRD - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental.
