Lyda Chen-Argerich
Born in Geneva, Lyda Chen-Argerich is Martha
Argerich's elder daugther. She studies violin at Geneva Conservatory with
Ayla Erduran and at Beijing Central Conservatory (China) with Lin Yao Ji. Lyda Chen-Argerich studied law and obtained
diploma taken after three years at Geneva University. She carried on her musical studies by playing
viola under the guidance of the teacher Gad Levertof at Tel-Aviv (Israël)
University. Than, Lyda Chen Argerich decided to chose this
instrument as a mean to explore chamber music repertoire. She performed with many instrumental ensemble all
other the world. She mainly plays in concert-tours in trio with flute and harp
and in piano quartett. Lyda Chen Argerich is member of Basileo String
Quartett from Geneva. Invited to perform in many festivals in the world
; Lugano,Verbier, Cassis, Suze-la Rousse, Buenos Aires, in Japan, in
Argentina...she has the opportunity to play with her mother Martha Argerich and
to meet also some over great musicians such Misha Maisky, Rébecca Chaillot,
Ivry Gitlis or the two brothers Renaud and Gauthier Capuçon. She registeres the Dvoràk, Fauré, and Beethoven
piano quartett under the label EMI for the Progetto Argerich at Lugano. In 2005, she performed at Suntory Hall in Tokyo
for concerts to pay homage to Friedrich Gulda, at Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires
for the Argerich Rencontres Musicales. She also performed as a solosist and in
chamber music at Teatro del Circulo in Rosario, Argentina. |
