Edito - Festival Musicalta 2016

o make live an ambitious music festival far from cities, such was the crazy that we started in 1996.
Since 2001, in the Rouffach area, Musicalta blossoms within an exceptional natural and architectural heritage.
In this setting, we have been tracing for 21 years musical paths that you are more and more numerous to take each year.

This season, we discover, as every summer with great pleasure, the magnificent organs of the church Notre Dame de Rouffach, a path where we also cross the roads of the piano, the accordion, the bandoneon and many others.
We pay tribute to Rodolphe Kreutzer, born 250 years ago, founding father of the French violin school with Baillot and Rode. Following this path, it is a part of the large repertoire with multiple masterpieces for violin and piano that is revealed to us. A foray into the world of letters and we question what music says to literature, to remind us that music is alive and protean.

I would like to thank the partners of the festival, the volunteers and the whole Musicalta team, thanks to whom, for the past 20 years, quality and conviviality rhyme with “frenzy around the programs, murmurings of bench mates…”. (Repertoire 2001).

I warmly invite you to come and share the 2016 season and I wish you a very good festival.

Francis Duroy
