Victoria Shereshevskaya

Victoria Shereshevskaya was born in 1983 in Moscow (Russia) and started piano at the age of 6 with her mother Rena Shereshevskaya, professor of piano at the Central Special Music School for gifted children at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory. Since 1993 she is settled in France with her family, her mother having been invited to work there.

In 1999 Victoria graduated from the Colmar Music Conservatory still in the class of her mother, with the gold medal in piano and in chamber music. In 2005 she graduates from the CNSMD - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - of Lyon in the class of Géry Moutier.

Since the age of 8 she becomes a laureate of a number of National and International Piano Competitions in Russia and in France and in 1998 – in Andorra (The 4th International Piano Competition "Premi Principat d'Andorra").

She received advices of such prestigious music masters as François-René Duchable, Brigitte Engerer, Lev Naoumov, Vladimir Krainev, Vladimir Viardo and a famous American music critic Arold Schoenberg.

She plays as a solist with various orchestras in France and in Russia and with such conductors as Christophe Poiget, Serguei Slepnev and, more recently, Youri Bashmet in the Grand Hall of the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory, the performance where also took part as a narrator a famous French actress Marie-Anne Chazel. She also played with the soloists of The Mulhouse Philharmonic Orchestra and in August 2008 she was invited to play in trio with the violinist Marco Rizzi and the violoncellist François Guye at the opening concert of the Festival “Rencontres Musicales d’Enghien” (Belgium).

Victoria gives recitals in France, Russia, Italy, USA… and participates in various music festivals.

Since 2007 she plays in duo with the violoncellist Maxime Ganz. They did an important concert tour in Alsace supported by the Association AJAM, performed in Paris (in the Cortot Hall, among others), in Belgium, etc. Next summer the duo will perform at the Festival “Nancyphonies” in Nancy as well as at the Festival de la Roque d’Anthéron. The Duo is a laureate of the Forum Musical International de Normandie.

Victoria was also invited to participate at the shooting of a film “Je te mangerais” of Sophie Laloy (producer Louis Becker) as a coach of actors and double in piano playing.

At the same time as her activity as a pianist Victoria, who has a passion for singing since her early childhood, has started her opera training with the tenor Robert Dumé and at present is a student of the bass Daniel Ottevaere.

Being a holder of a State Teaching Diploma (DE) she is a professor of piano at the CRR - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental - of Yerres as well as at the “Ménestrel” Conservatory of Chantilly.
