Jean-Pierre Sabouret
Jean-Pierre Sabouret started playing piano and
learning sol-fa at four and when he was 12, he decided to spend his time
learning violin. In 1959 he was accepted in Paris "Conservatoire
National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse » - CNSMD and won several first
violin and chamber music prizes in Jacques Février's class. Furthermore he studied musical writing with
Fernand Lami. Jean-Pierre Sabouret was graduated of the
"Fondation de la Vocation" (1963) and of the International Maria Canals
competition in Barcelona (1964). He was a member of the Loewenguth quartet for
nine years (1967 to 1975) and a member of Via Nova Quartett since 1975, and
Olivier-Messiaen Quartett since 1990. Jean-Pierre Sabouret was also solo violin of the
"Ensemble Itinéraire" for several years and solo violin of the Philharmonic
Strasbourg Orchestra from 1974 to 1976. In 1977, he became soloist at Paris National Opera
Orchestra until 2000. Jean-Pierre Sabouret was teaching violin and
chamber music at Paris Paul Dukas Conservatoire and he was also assitant
teacher at Paris CNSMD. |
