Pierre-Olivier Queyras
Pierre-Olivier Queyras started to study violin at
4 years old. After four years of studies at the Lyon CNSMD - Convertoire
National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - in J. Ghestem's class, he obtains
his National Diploma. He improves his knowlegde at the
Freiburg-im-Breisgau Hochschule für Musik (Germany) where he obtains a diploma
as well as a special prize during the Berlin « Mendelssohn » International
Contest in 1987. In september 1988 he constitutes the « Trio de
Iscles » with Véronique Marin (cello) and François Daudet (piano). It remains
one of the most awarded french ensemble with no less than six national and
international prizes. Award winner of the Menuhin Foundation, the
ensemble took part in many festivals in France and outwards. From 1995 to 2002, Pierre-Olivier Queyras is the «
Enemble FA » soloist member (ensemble directed by Dominique My). He is also invited to play with the « Ensemble
Intercontemporain » under the direction of masters such as Pierre Boulez, David
Robertson... Always curious and open to every kind of music, he
took part in the « Coups d'Archet » demonstration in 1992 and 1995. Pierre-Olivier Queyras is teaching violin at the
Argenteuil CRD - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental. |
