Professional biography of Patrick Févai
Patrick Févai

Patrick Févai began his musical studies at Vannes in France and pursued violin in 1976 with Pierre Amoyal before being allowed at Boulogne-Billancourt conservatory (CRR) in Jacques Ghestem class where he obtained a First violin Price in 1982.

Then Patrick Fevai entered at Paris CNSMD in Pierre Amoyal and Ami Flammer violin class and Jean Hubeau and Christian Lardé chamber music class. He pursued a 3rd cycle at Paris CNSMD in Pierre Doukan class from 1989 to 1991.

In 1981, Patrick Févai founded a first string quartett and studied with James Levine, Norbert Brainin at «Proquartet » association.

From 1985 to 1997, he is solo violin at TM ensemble under Laurent Cuniot Conducting. He plays all chamber music from Vienna School (Schöenberg, Berg, Webern).

In 1995, Patrick Févai creates the Liger Quartet wich is invited to play regularly at Nantes «Folle Journée » and also in United States, Japan and Europe.

Patrick Févai is also playing music from French composers from the country of Pays de la Loire as René Audoui, Claude Guillon-Verne, Paul Ladmirault.

Liger Quartet obtained a famous « 10 de Répertoire » for one of their CD with the music of Paul Ladmirault composer from Nantes.

The quartet win the First Price in Granada in 2001 at the « XII° Concurso International Luis de Narvaez of the Caja » for the piece « Urbana 4, Rueda Estrella » composed for them by the composer Luis Naon.

Patrick Févai is Professor at Nantes Conservatory (CRR) since 1991.
