Winner of numerous International Competitions such as Bucarest, Florence, Pörtschach, Douai or Guérande, Matthieu Lejeune is playing regularly as a soloist as a member of the Duo Le Cann-Lejeune, the Trio Una Corda, and in other prestigious ensembles : Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Multilatérale, Galliano Septet…. He played in United States, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Scandinavia, East Europe, Africa... with such musicians as Alexandre Brussilovsky, Eric-Maria Couturier, François Salque, Arkady Yanivker, Alain Brunier, Alexandre Tharaud or Sonia Wieder-Atherton and he records for Maguelone and Triton. He also created several shows mixing theater and music. Matthieu Lejeune has been a student of Roland Pidoux at Paris CNSMD where he wan the First Price unanimously in cello and chamber music. Winner of the Sasakawa Fondation, Matthieu Lejeune studied 2 years in Koln Hochschule in the prestigious class of Frans Helmerson where he obtained his certificate of Konzertexam. He improved with famous musicians such as Lynn Harrell (Verbier Festival and Academy), Bernard Greenhouse, Daria Hovora, Maurice Bourgue, Alain Meunier, Jorge Chaminé, Arto Noras, André Gorog… Matthieu Lejeune is professor at Saint-Maur-des-Fossés National Conservatory and at Aulnay-sous-Bois Conservatory. |
