Marie-Annick Nicolas

Born in France in 1956, Marie-Annick Nicolas won a First Prize at Paris CNSMDP - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse at the age of 13 years old.

Between 17 and 23 years old, she is one of the youngest artist who wins such international competitions as the Long-Thibaud Grand Prix, the Szeryng Grand Prix, the Tchaikovsky Grand Prix, the Queen Elizabeth's Prize and also the international Prize of Montreal.

Noticed by David Oistrakh, Marie-Annick Nicolas between 1975-76 in the Moscow Tchaïkovsky Conservatory with Boris Bielinki.

Then, she was invited by Franco Gulli in United States, in order to become assistant Professor at the famous " Bloomington School of Music" (Indiana University).

Between 1980 and 1986 Marie Annick Nicoals has been "Super-Soloist" at Radio-France Philharmonic Orchestra.

Since 1993 she is professor at Geneva Conservatory.

Marie-Annick Nicolas shares her time between teaching and performing.

She plays an Andrea Guarnerius violin - Cremona 1673.
