Professional biography of Laurent Lagarde
Laurent Lagarde

Laurent Lagarde was born in Dijon (France) and started his musical training in Bernard Bon's class. He lived in Dijon until 1986 when he won unanimously the first interregional prize.

In 1987 he was accepted in the Paris CNSMD - Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - and obtained unanimously cello and chamber music prizes. Then he studied with Jean Mouillière.

He worked with famous maestros such as Klaus Heitz, Phillipe Muller, Michel Strauss and took part in Kirschbaum's master class and Aldo Parisot's.

Solo cello of the Harmonia Nova Orchestra of Paris, he met in 1989 Jean-François Corvasier with whom he founded the Aulnes trio in 1993.

He is now teaching in the Dijon CRR - Conservatoire à rayonnement régional - and playing as a cello soloist in the Camerata of Bourgogne.
