Jean-François Philipp wan the First Honnor Price at the Paris UFAM Competion in 1990. The same year, he entered in Michel Arrignon class at Paris Superior Conservatory - CNSMD where he obtains in 1993 two First prices ; a First clarinet Price and a First chamber music Price in Maurice Bourgue class. In 1991, as a member of the Phigaro Trio, he wan the First «Grand Prix» at the Normandie musical Forum. This distinction will offer him the opportunity to play even more in France and in Russia ( Saint Petersbourg and Carelie in particular. ) After his studies at Paris CNSMD, Jean-François Philipp has been invited to improve a few months at the Mozart Academy in Prague. Then he was appointed by Sandor Vegh as the solo clarinet at Salzbourg Camerata until 1997. Jean-François Philipp played as a soloistwith orchestra in most famous halls from Madrid to Moscou, Budapest, Vienne and Istanbul...under the conducting of Pinnock, Holliger, Harnoncourt,Fisher Diskau, Schreier,Cambreling ... He is the founder of the «Francis Poulenc» Ensemble with wich he went on tour to give concerts and masterclasses at Pekin, Séoul, in Mexico, Asia, United States, Poland and Norway. Jean-François Philipp is Professor at Colmar Conservatory. |
