Hotier
Hervé Hotier was born in 1965 in Lille. He follows his first musical studies at Douai's CRR - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional. Then, he pursues his studies with several teachers representing the French Flute School of flute : Michel Plockyn ( The Paris Opera), Ida Ribera ( assistant of Jean-Pierre Rampal, Pierre-Yves Artaud ( professor at CNSMDP ). Finally, he perfected in the class of Michel Debost at the Paris CNSMD - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse. In 1990, he became principal flute of the Symphonic Orchestra of San Sebastian ( Spain ). He held that post until 1994. At the same time, Hervé Hotier leads solo career in France, Spain, Canada, Morocco and in the Caribbean islands. Several of his former students are winners of international competitions ( Barcelona, San Sebastian, Rome, Geneva, Europe and Kobé) Hervé Hotier was Professor at High Catalonia Musical School in Barcelona from 2003 to 2008. He currently teaches at Clermond-Ferrand CRR - Conservatoire à rayonnement régional - and he is regularly invited to give masterclasses in France and abroad. Website of Hervé Hotier |
