First piano and chamber music Prize of the Paris CNSMD - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris - Jérôme Granjon continue his musical education at the Canadian Banff Center of Fine Arts. He is award winner of the Italian International Piano Competition « Città di Senigallia » and wins the French Albert Roussel Prize. Jérôme Granjon has the chance to play early with Maria Joao Pires who noticed soon his musical abilities. They performed together several times together notably at the Paris Châtelet Theater with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra. Invited as a soloist in France and abroad, Jérôme Granjon is the guest of many orchestras such as the Bordeaux Aquitaine Orchestra, the Moscow Soloists Orchestra, the Lisboa Gulbenkian Foundation Orchestra...He is regularly invited by wellknown festivals in Europe and North America. His Bach concerto in D minor performance during the opening concert of the French Lille Piano(s) Festival in 2004 with the Lille National Orchestra conducted by Jean-Claude Casadesus enthuse the critic (Le Figaro, Diapason). Since 2003, Jérôme Granjon is one of the founder member of the Hoboken Trio with Saskia Lethiec (violinist) and Renaud Déjardin (cellist). He recorded several works such as Gershwin concerto, Webern, « L'histoire de Babar » by Poulenc which were noticed by international press (Das Orchester, Fono Forum...). In addition to his soloist career, Jérôme Granjon is professor at the French Romainville CRD – Conservatoire à rayonnement départemental - where he teaches piano and chamber music. |
