Professional biography of Frédéric Aguessy
Frédéric Aguessy

Prize winner of International competitions of Geneva, Naples, Budapest and Santander in 1974, the French pianist Frédéric Aguessy won in 1979 the first great prize Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud.

Thanks to this prize he started an international career and travelled all around the world (London, New-York, Japan, South America, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal,Spain, Poland, Hungary...)

Frédéric Aguessy is regularly playing with a lot of orchestras such as Paris National Orchestra, Toulouse Capitole Orchestra, Pays de la Loire Orchestra, Monte- Carlo National Opera Orchestra, Bucarest G.Enesco Philharmonic Orchestra, Cannes Provence Côte d'Azur Orchestra, Picardie Sinfonietta Orchestra, Paris Bernard Thomas Orchestra. He also spends a lot of time in playing chamber music.

He is invited in many festivals : Yokohama Piano Festival, La Roque d'Anthéron Festival, Festival des Arcs, Montpellier Radio-France International Festival, Paris Summer Festival, Antibes International young soloist Festival.

He has a diversified repertory in which French music takes an important part and he created several pieces like Etudes for piano from Anthony Girard, Concerto for piano and Orchestra from Max Pinchard.

He also recorded with Alexis Galperine the sonata for violin and for piano from Ernest Bloch.

Furthermore he also conducts several pieces for Chamber Orchestra.

Frédéric Aguessy is teaching at the Rouen Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional.
