Sapey-Triomphe
Born in 1966, Edouard Sapey-Triomphe begins cello at the age of 5 years old with Jean Brizard. He pursues his studies at Boulogne-Billancourt National Conservatory in Jean Brizard and Michel Strauss classes. In 1983, he entered at Paris Superior Conservatory - CNSMD in Maurice Gendron and Jean Hubeau classes. In 1986, he obtained the First Cello Price at Paris CNSMD. Winner of the Lavoisier Grant from the French « Ministère des Affaires Etrangères », Edouard Sapey-Triomph improved with Janos Starker at Indiana University in United States. He plays with the Radio France Philharmonic Orchestra and the Paris Opera before being appointed soloist at Lyon national Orchestra in 1997. Edouard Sapey-Triomph is playing regularly as a soloist in France and abroad with such musician as Michel Dalberto, Emmanuel Ax, Bruno Canino, Philippe Graffin, David Grimal or Anne Gastinel. He is Professor at Lyon Superior Conservatory - CNSMD (Anne Gastinel assistant). |
