Renaud Déjardin was born in Strasbourg (France) where he began his cello studies with Mihály Temesvári and Jean Deplace at the Strasbourg CRR - Conservatoire à rayonnement Régional.

He followed his musical studies at Paris CNSMD - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - with Philippe Muller.

He obtained a « Fulbright » grant and studied in United States with Timothy Eddy at the SUNY university at Stony Brook.

Animated by a great musical curiosity and prefering to take time in order to mature is knowledge, he follows also composition, writing, analysis and conducting studies.

Award winner of International Competitions such as the Leipzig Bach Competition (Germany), the « Paulo » competition in Helsinki (Finland) and the Rostropovitch Competition in Paris, Renaud Déjardin performs in many festivals as a soloist with wellknown orchestras such as Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, the french National Ile-de-France Orchestra and the Helsinki Philharmonic.

He is regularly invited to play chamber music with talented artists such as Renaud Capuçon, François Salque, Vahan Mardirossian or Delphine Bardin.. He plays regularly all over the world with the pianist Marta Gödény with who he recorded the integral works of Martinu and Schumann.

In 2000, he was awarded by the Adami as a Revelation and in 2002 he became « the Classic Revelation » of the wellknown Classica Magazine.

Awarded by the French Fondation Group Banque Populaire, Renaud Déjardin is being helped also by the french Société Générale.

Renaud Déjardin is a member of the Hoboken Trio with Saskia Lethiec (violinist) and Jérôme Granjon (pianist).

He is cello Professor at Toulouse CRR - Conservatoire à rayonnement régional.
