David Louwerse

French cellist from dutch-english ancestry, David Louwerse shares his professional life between a soloist career and teaching activities.

David Louwerse studied at Paris CNSMDP - Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse - where he unanimously won a first Prize in cello and in chamber music. He perfected in USA at Yale University where he obtains succesfully the Lucy G. Moses Fellowship Award.

David Louwerse plays in Canada, USA, Taiwan, Romania, Switzerland, Spain, Germany and of course in France in Paris concert Halls such as Auditorium Saint-Germain, Cortot Hall, Radio France Hall... as well as in other french cities famous concert halls such as Tolouse Capitole, Lyon Trinity Chapell, Rouen Arts Theater...

Working a lot on contemporary music, David Louwerse worked in different famous groups like French Ensemble Alternance or Ensemble 2E2M as at the «New music New Haven» (USA 1990-1992) concert.

Owner of the french pedagogy Diploma, David Louwerse taught at the CRR - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régionale - of Rouen, at the Cefedem of Normandie and at Paris Ecole Normale de Musique.

He is cello and chamber music Professor at Bobigny CRD - Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental and he also teaches at Paris Claude Debussy conservatory.

David Louwerse is regularly invited in Taiwan at Kaoshiung's University to give cello and chamber music master classes and to perform.
