Professional biography of Hélène Dautry
 Hélène Dautry

At first Hélène Dautry started learning piano and later she decided to learn cello. She has become for a short time a talented cellist and after having learnt cello for five years she entered in Maurice Gendron's class (cello) at the "Conservatoire National supérieur de musique" of Paris and in Jean Hubeau's class (chamber music). She won the first cello prize in the "Conservatoire national supérieur de musique" of Paris and she completed her musical studies in Jean Mouillière's class (chamber music).

As a soloist in Jean-François Paillard's chamber orchestra from 1987 to 1999, Hélène Dautry regurlarly plays in European, American and Japanese famous concert halls.

Hélène Dautry also was prized by the "académie internationale Maurice Ravel" and performed as a soloist conducting by Jean-Pierre Wallez, Frédéric Chaslin, Patrick Fournillier,Peter Csaba... She played with well-known artists such as Catherine Collard,the Parisi quartet, Ami Flammer, Sonia Wieder-Atherten, Gérard Jarry, Annie Jodry, Géry Moutier, Elisabeth Balmas, Phillipe Cuper, the Accentus choir conducting by Laurence Equilbey, Suzan Manoff, Hugues Leclère, Emmanuel Strosser...Hélène Dautry was a member of the Geister Trio, the Léonore trio and performs regurlarly in chamber music.

Hélène Dautry has taken part in several festivals like la Roque-d'Anthéron, les midis minimes (Brussels), the young soloists in Périgord (Catherine Collard), Gramont, les Arcs, Rouffach, Saint-Pétersbourg, Francfort, Milan and the Nancyphonies...

She has been invited to several radio broadcasting: Young soloists, Tempo Primo, Six et demi, les démons de midi, musicomania...

Hélène Dautry has been teaching in the "Conservatoire National de Région" of Lille and has been soloist in the Besançon orchestra conducting by Peter Csaba . In 2002 she was invited to teach a master class at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris in order to pay tribute to Maurice Gendron.

In 2004 Hélène Dautry has recorded the Prokoviev sonata, Debussy and the Fantasiestücke of Schuman with Mila Goldwasser.
