Prize winner of the competitions of Geneva, Naples, Budapest and Santander in 1974, the French pianist Frédéric Aguessy won in 1979 the first great prize Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud. Thanks to this prize he started an international career and travelled all around the world ( London, New-York, Japan, South America, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal,Spain, Poland, Hungary...) As he has played with a lot of orchestras (Orchestra of Paris,Orchestra of Toulouse capitol, philharmonic Orchestra of Pays de Loire, national Orchestra of Monte- Carlo opera, G.Enesco Philharmonic Orchestra of Bucarest, Orchestra of Cannes Provence Côte d'Azur, Sinfonietta Orchestra of Picardie,the Bernard Thomas's Orchestra),he spends a lot of time for the chamber music. He is often invited in many festivals: Piano Festival of Yokohama (Japan), Festival des Arcs, Festival of Roque d'Anthéron, International Festival of Montpellier and Radio-France, Summer Festival of Paris, International young soloist Festival of Antibes. He has a diversified repertory in which French music takes an important part and he created several pieces like Etudes for piano from Anthony Girard, Concerto for piano and Orchestra frm Max Pinchard. He also recorded with Alexis Galperine sonata for violin and for piano from Ernest Bloch. Furthermore he conducted several pieces for Chamber Orchestra. He was "professeur assistant" at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris and now he is teaching at the Conservatoire National de Région of Rouen. |
