Rouffach is a medieval city in a landscape of rolling vineyards at the foot of the Vosges mountains in Alsace, France. The "Lycée Agricole" (LEGTA) is located in a beautiful park, close to the old city walls and the Roman church (11th to 19th century), situated between the Witch Tower (12th century) and the Stork breeding park. The LEGTA is in the immediate vicinity of shops, cafés, restaurants, post office and railway station.

All activities are centralized on LEGTA campus: courses, practice rooms, accommodation, meals and even leisure.

Who are the courses for?

This academy is open to all instrumentalists or singers who wish to improve their musical skills. Constant supervision by qualified and experienced advisors is provided for junior students.

Full-Board and accommodation

Full-board accommodation : rooms at LEGTA for 3, 4 or 5 people sharing with private shower(s) and toilet.

Free access to swimming-pool for boarders. There are all sorts of leisure facilities at the LEGTA: gymnasium, badminton, ping pong, football, volley ball, basket ball...

Selection

As the number of participants in each class is limited, places are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Courses

Individual courses are given to every participant who has registered for one main course. Piano accompagnists are available for students (singers and instrumentalists).

Contemporary music and improvisation

Open to instrumentalists and singers with at least three years' experience who wish to play in a band and meet other musicians, play on stage, record concerts, develop their expression, or improvise and create in a quality environment which offers a musical diversity and equipment adapted for contemporary music workshops.
Open to every musical style.

Composition and improvisation

Philippe Geiss approaches the composition by developing an intuitive language fed by his multiple adventures in the world of the improvised musics. Impro classic, Jazz, Contemporary...

Musical Analysis

Musical Analysis classes around the works worked by the students.

English for non english speaker

Learn or improve your english.
Group sessions : 3 groups of various levels.
Possibility of individual courses with the option «Strenghtened english ».

Breathing Workshop for winds

Breathing and posture in connection with the technique Alexander. For winds.

Stress and stage fright control training

Control your stage fright, reduce your stress, gain self-esteem and confidence. Personal coaching or group sessions.

Numerous concerts are programmed while the Academy is running. These will be on the campus itself and in the village of Rouffach.
